After nine years in healthcare consulting, Nancy wanted to pursue a career that was more challenging to her, and more of a direct impact to her clients. "I wanted to form relationships with people, not corporations," said Nancy. "I very much wanted to work for myself, be my own boss and participate in the momentous and exciting process of buying and selling a home," she added.
Nancy says that one of the most enjoyable moments is when she sees the look on a buyer's face when they walk into a home they know they want to purchase. A large number of Nancy's clients are first time home buyers. "I really enjoy taking clients through the entire process of purchasing a home," she says. "I make sure there are not any surprises along the way." But, she adds, "the most enjoyable time is when they invite me to their housewarming party and I get to see how they have decorated their new home. It's such a thrill!"
She credits her vast knowledge of Chicago neighborhoods as a stepping stone that has allowed her to find homes for her clients throughout the city.
Nancy graduated from Florida State University in Tallahassee, where she received a four year scholarship and was the captain of the woman's volleyball team for four years. She was named "Rookie of the Year" her freshman year, and ended her career as Metro Conference MVP. In fact, she still holds the record for most assists in a career!
Free time is usually spent playing golf, volleyball and tennis. She participated in the 1998 Chicago Marathon and competes in triathlons. She also volunteers at The Ronald McDonald Children's home and loves to travel.
